INSTRUCTIONS FOR FEEDING
Feed Mintrate 30 Tub free-choice to cattle on pasture or roughage rations. Make sure animals have adequate pasture or roughage available and are not starved for salt or minerals. Feed Mintrate 30 Tub continuously. A two week adaptation period may be required to establish a base consumption. Recommended consumption of this product is 2.25 lb to 3.75 lb per 100 lb body weight per month or 0.075 lb to 0.125 lb per 100 lb body weight daily (maximum feeding rate of 1.32 lb per head per day.) A 10-day supply of Mintrate 30 Tub may be put out at one time. Provide at least one tub for every 15 to 20 animals. Mintrate tubs are available with different levels of palatability. Consumption of Mintrate tubs will vary according to the weight of the animal and the quality and amount of available forage. Feed Mintrate 30 Tub, a more palatable formulation, when forage is plentiful and of good quality. When forage is course, fibrous or is in short supply, feed a less palatable Mintrate tub to attain the desired consumption level.
If consumption of Mintrate 30 Tub is lower than desired, switch to a more palatable Mintrate tub, and be sure other sources of salt and/or minerals are not available. If consumption of Mintrate 30 Tub is higher than desired, switch to a less palatable Mintrate tub or feed additional salt or mineral.
Test your forages to determine the actual supplementation needs of your cattle. Consumption over or under the recommended levels may be adequate based on nutrient needs. If pasture and/or roughage supply inadequate energy for satisfactory growth, performance or body condition, supplemental grain or good quality roughage should be fed.
WARNING: This feed should be used only in accordance with the instructions furnished on the label.
CAUTION: Consumption of this product by sheep and goats may result in copper toxicity. This feed contains a source of nonprotein nitrogen. The equivalent protein supplied by non-protein nitrogen should not exceed 1/3 of the crude protein of the total
ration. Use only as directed.
This product was made in a feed manufacturing facility that does not handle or store products containing animal proteins prohibited in ruminant feeds.
